SWMetro recently received a $15,000 donation from the Dr. Pepper Snapple group to start us on our way toward building an accessible playground at River Valley Education Center (RVEC), our Jordan location.
A parent of a RVEC student created a GoFundMe page to continue to raise funds for a playground that is desperately needed at this location.
Currently, although these students have a fantastic gymnasium, they do not have access to any outdoor playground equipment on school grounds. It is important for all children to have an opportunity to play and exercise outside and students with special needs especially benefit from this sort of activity.
This playground would keep students of all abilities in mind, offering inclusive and accessible equipment.
All proceeds will go directly to SWMetro, specifically for the purpose of building this playground.
Please consider making a donation and sharing, and remember, every little bit counts!
